Interview

The UK student visa credibility interview is typically a 10 to 30 minutes long interaction, focusing on your Genuineness as a Student (GS). You will need to clearly articulate your motivation for studying in the UK to show that you are a genuine student.

Format:
  • Personal Background & Identity: Questions about name, DOB, address, passport, and family details.
  • Course & University Details: Why this university/course? Name at least three modules. What is the course duration, start date, and tuition fee?
  • Academic & Work History: Explain any gaps in education or employment.
  • Financial Situation: Who is sponsoring you? What do your parents do? Be ready to explain your financial documents and total cost of living.
  • Reasons for Choosing the UK: Why not study this in your country? What makes the UK better for your career?
  • Future Plans: What are your career plans after graduation?
  • Logistics & Life in UK: Where will you live? How will you handle cultural differences?
  • University & Location Knowledge: Why did you choose this city/university? Do you know the location of the campus?
  • Previous Visa History: Any previous visa refusals for the UK or other countries?
Tips:
  • Be Prepared: Know your application, CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) statement, and bank documents thoroughly.
  • Be Specific: Avoid generic answers; mention specific modules, professors, or unique features of your university.
  • Be Honest: Answer truthfully, as discrepancies can lead to rejection.
  • Prepare for Random Questions: You may be asked about your daily life, your interests, or even the weather in the UK to test your genuine interest and preparedness.
  • Prepare Documentation: Have your passport and copies of all documents ready.
